The Indians host Glendale at 3:30 Tuesday before traveling to Claremont for a 3:30 p.m. league finale Thursday.
Against the Falcons, Lucas Yanez paced the Indians with 10 kills and 15 digs. Teammate Robby Rutecki had eight kills and four aces, Tyler Yanez had 28 assists, Daniel Jacobs clipped in with seven kills and Derrick Nicandro had eight digs.
Sherman Oaks Notre Dame 8, Burbank 0: The Bulldogs (8-13) had seven hits in suffering the nonleague loss Wednesday on the road.
Burbank 12, Muir 2: The Bulldogs made the most of seven hits Tuesday in claiming victory in the Pacific League game Tuesday at Muir.
After taking a 2-0 lead, Burbank (3-5 in league) exploded for five runs in the third inning and tacked on five more in the fifth.
Ricky Perez, Paul Frias, Ian McKinnon, Chris Okimoto, Angel Roman, Tyler Do and Colson Cripps had hits for the Bulldogs. Do also had two runs batted in, as did Paul Gatton. Perez also had four stolen bases.
Burroughs 21, Pasadena 2: The Indians continued their march to a second straight Pacific League title with a win Thursday on the road.
Pitcher Heather Haynes (8-1) threw the first three innings and gave up two runs (one earned) on two hits. Quinn Rodriguez pitched the final two innings, giving up no runs on one hit.
Victoria Santos was three for four and drove in four runs. She delivered a grand slam in the fourth inning and also stole a base. Teammate Brice Edrington went four for four with a double, two RBI and three stolen bases and Shannon Trujillo and Haynes also hit home runs for Burroughs (15-6, 9-0). It was Trujillo's seventh homer of the season.
The Indians have a big league showdown at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday against host Crescenta Valley.
Burroughs 17, Hoover 1: The first-place Indians had no problem rolling to a Pacific League win Tuesday at Olive Park.
Burroughs — the defending league champion — hammered out 16 hits in the game that was called after five innings because of the 10-run mercy rule.
Haley Schulman pitched the first three innings and gave up one hit and one earned run. Kayla Dalley pitched two innings and gave up one hit for the Indians
Taylor Buliavac went two for three with a home run, a run batted in and two stolen bases, Shannon Trujillo went three for four with a double, triple and three RBI and Victoria Santos went two for three with three RBI and two stolen bases.
Burroughs, Burbank in Pacific League Match No. 4: The Indians placed second and the Bulldogs were fourth in the event Thursday at De Bell Golf Club.
Arcadia (377) won the match and was followed by Burroughs (429), Crescenta Valley (400) and Burbank (429).
The Indians were led by Kelsey Danzeisen, who fired a three-over-par 74. He was followed by Chris Kesicbasian (75), Brandon Shinn (80), Taylor Contreras (82), Nick Colbert (83) and Jeff Lundquist (83).
Kenny Cunanan (76), Andy Chung (87), Brady Dunayer (88), Erik Kouyoumdjian (88), James Chae (90) and Ben Park (93) paced the Bulldogs.
