More than 100 members, affiliates and supporters of the Burbank Assn. of Realtors supported the organization’s Community Service Foundation by attending and participating in the annual auction and reverse-drawing fundraiser staged this past week at its Magnolia Boulevard headquarters.
The assemblage was welcomed by foundation President Chris Habitz, who lauded attendees for their support of the association’s charitable arm that grants nine Burbank students with college scholarships and assists local families in need through their assistance to Habitat for Humanity and Family Promise, which helps homeless families in conjunction with Burbank churches and synagogues.
While enjoying the company of business associates over margaritas and a taco buffet, the crowd followed Habitz’s direction to “be generous” as auctioneer Eric Benz took center stage with the assistance of Tiffanie and Melissa Misner, who showcased the plethora of donated goods, services, trips and dining experiences up for bid.
The event, chaired by Dana Russo, was made possible by members of the foundation’s board of trustees, Chris Rizzotti, Karen Volpei, Barry Burnett, Steve Marx, Marian Chase, Marty Del Cid, Dan Soderstrom and Grace Fogg, along with the organizing committee that included Meegan Bevere, Linda Roberts, Lisa Matzner, Tammy Tapia, Gerad St Hubert and Mike De Grandis.
