The Burbank Tournament of Roses Association has their eyes set on the 2013 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade and is hosting a design contest.
Designs should be submitted by Jan. 25 and guidelines are available on the group’s web site, http://burbankrosefloat.com/forms/DESIGN13.pdf.
The association’s board of directors will select at least four designs and members will vote on the final design, according to the association’s web site.
A “hint” for the 2013 parade theme describes it, in part, as “whimsical and childlike while equally relevant to all ages. It reminds us that every journey begins with a first step, and that making a difference in one’s own life and in the lives of others can begin again at any point along our life’s path,” according to the Burbank Tournament of Roses.
