The lockdown has been cleared at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center after a man allegedly struck a family member in the head, police said.
The hospital was under lockdown earlier in the evening because police were unsure if the suspect was still in the hospital, said Burbank Police Sgt. Daniel Mayreis.
Police did not find the suspect in the building, he said.
The incident occurred after two male family members allegedly got into a fight while visiting another relative in the hospital, said Mayreis.
Police originally received a call of a man with a gun in the hospital, he said. When authorities arrived on scene, they found a man with a head injury.
Police are unsure what object caused the injury, said Mayreis.
