For the fourth time since January, up to three “heavy set” women have walked out of a Burbank store with bags of stolen perfume -- the latest theft totaling about $4,000, police said.
“They walk in and walk out,” Sgt. Darin Ryburn said of the women involved in the thefts at Ulta on the 1300 block of Victory Place.
Police said the women walk through the store, place the fragrances in shopping bags and then leave.
“No one inside made any attempt to stop them,” Ryburn said.
On two occasions, just two women were involved in the thefts, in other incidents, there were three.
About $1,000 worth of perfume was stolen on Jan. 11; roughly $450 in perfume was taken March 17 and about $4,000 in perfume was stolen on Monday, Ryburn said.
