OUTLOOK: It was a good start for the Bulldogs last week, as they opened their season with a solid Zero Week victory. The Burbank defense stepped up in the win, allowing the Chancellors just a field goal in the final 1:44. Senior quarterback Zak Tomlinson did a good job at running the Burbank offense and running backs James Williams, a sophomore, senior Teddy Arlington and junior Joseph Pendelton racked up the yardage. The Bulldogs will be going up against a West Ranch team led by senior quarterback Garrett Mouw. The Wildcats are coming off a 2011 season in which they went 4-0 in nonleague play and had a 1-4 record in the tough Foothill League. Neither the Bulldogs nor the Wildcats qualified for the CIF Southern Section playoffs last season.
