The City Council this week signed off on plans to add a five-story office building to the Media Studios North office campus that currently houses the likes of Yahoo! and Kaiser Permanente.
The proposed 160,447-square-foot office space and parking structure will fill vacant, excavated land near the corner of Empire Avenue and North Avon Street.
The building won strong praise from the City Council on Tuesday.
"It is a fine contribution to Burbank's efforts to develop quality office space," Councilwoman Emily Gabel-Luddy said.
Councilman Gary Bric echoed that sentiment, calling it "just a wonderful project for the city."
The campus already consists of five buildings in the area in which tenants include Yahoo!, Walt Disney Animation, Kaiser Permanente and Insomniac Games.
