A 59-year-old Sun Valley man was arrested Wednesday after allegedly trying to steal a couple days’ worth of groceries from Vallarta Supermarket in Burbank, police said.
Javier Tejedagoody entered the market just before 3:30 p.m., picked up some empty shopping bags from the register and filled them with various items, including cookies, vegetables, oats, bread, snacks, salt and a six-pack of beer.
Holding $69 worth of groceries, Tejedagoody allegedly passed several open registers and left the store. Loss prevention officers called the police, who arrested the man on suspicion of burglary.
