Burbank police on Friday announced a revamped website that will allow the public to register complaints, fill out permit applications and perform other functions online.
The website took two years to develop, an effort that was launched to provide greater public access to the police department, according the announcement.
Users will be able to apply for film and alarm permits, commend an employee or register a complaint, and complete applications for Community Academy classes. There also tabs for arrest logs, crime statistics and other resources.
The department already uses the mobile notification system Nixle, as wells as social media sites Facebook and Twitter, to communicate with the public.
