California Highway Patrol officials have identified an unlicensed Las Vegas woman who allegedly led police on a high-speed pursuit, crashing into 15 cars before stopping in Burbank on Saturday morning.
Tirza Saravia-Reyes, 35, was arrested Saturday, California Highway Patrol Officer Ed Jacobs said.
When a California Highway Patrol officer tried to pull over the 35-year-old for driving recklessly southbound on Highway 170 near Victory Boulevard around 10 a.m., the woman allegedly sped off, exiting at Burbank Boulevard, said California Highway Patrol Officer Christian Cracraft.
The chase continued as the woman traveled eastbound on Burbank Boulevard in a red Dodge pickup truck, first crashing into one moving car and then four more as she sped near Hollywood Way, Cracraft said. She then lost control of the truck and smashed into 10 parked vehicles between North Lima and North Avon streets.
