Burbank d. Glendale, 25-14, 25-23, 25-22: The Bulldogs (8-5, 3-2) picked up the Pacific League victory Thursday.
Burbank d. Hoover, 25-12, 25-12, 25-22: Allison Tiegs tallied 12 kills to pace the Bulldogs to a Pacific League victory Tuesday.
Rose Cowart added seven kills, Denise Daniel had five kills and seven digs, Sara Treadway had 13 assists and Justine Quinteros had 10 assists for Burbank.
Burbank 18, Burroughs 0: The Bulldogs recorded their second straight sweep of the rival Indians with the Pacific League win Thursday.
Burbank (10-1, 7-0), ranked No. 6 in CIF Southern Section Division II, remains in first place in league, one game ahead of Arcadia.
"We are just looking forward to that Arcadia game," said Burbank Coach Loi Phan, whose team takes on the Apaches on Oct. 10 at home.
The Bulldogs beat Arcadia, 10-8, on Sept. 17.
Against Burroughs (0-7 in league), singles player Lilit Vardanyan swept her three sets to improve to 31-1 on the season.
Providence in Liberty League Meet No. 2: Led by a first-place finish from Katia Dabbaghian, the Pioneers placed second in Thursday's race at Woodley Park.
Pacifica Christian won the race with 38 points and was followed by Providence (45) and Holy Martyrs (54).
Dabbaghian won the race in 21 minutes, 9 seconds. She was followed by teammate Drew Tacchino, who placed second (21:52). Other Providence scorers were Rose Avakian (fifth; 22:38), Jasmine Ramirez (24th; 26:54) and Lauren Cruz (25th; 26:55).
Providence in Liberty League Meet No. 2: The Pioneers placed fourth in the race Thursday at Woodley Park.
Oakwood won the event with 50 points and was followed by Holy Martyrs (57), Pacifica Christian (59) and Providence (93).
Lalo Fisher paced the Pioneers, finishing fifth in 17 minutes 45, seconds. He was followed by Brandon Swofford (17th; 19:02), Nicholas Algiers (20th; 19:08), Yujin Okuda (23rd; 20:10) and Luke Buenaventura (28th; 20:41).
Burbank Vikings: It was a tough struggle, but the Midget Green (5-0) team from the local tackle program remained undefeated with a 34-26 win in overtime Sept. 28 against North Oxnard Red.
Also staying undefeated was Junior Green (5-0), which got by North Oxnard, 34-20, and the Pee-Wees, which downed Moorpark, 40-12.
Turning in a winning effort was the Gremlins (1-3), which defeated West Valley, 42-32.
Suffering losses were Senior Black (1-4-0), which lost to North Oxnard, 32-8, and Senior Green (0-4), which was beaten by Lancaster, 47-0.
