From my vantage point, I can see no fewer than 23 television screens. There are 11 smiling employees in sight and about 70 chattering, laughing diners happily munching on chicken wings and variations thereof. This place has been open only a week, and already it’s a tightly run, wildly popular lunch spot. Maybe it’s because this Buffalo Wild Wings, while one of only four in California, is part of a huge national chain with a reputation for fun. I understand there are a few key things that people love about this restaurant.

Hordes of hungry participants circled some of the city?s tastiest fare Thursday while also providing assistance to those who hope to join the YMCA. Taste of Downtown Burbank showcased samples from more than 30 restaurants, including Buffalo Wild Wings and Crepe Maker, and debuted items as the Beer & Wine Garden on the AMC Walkway offered samples of brews and wines. Families strolled the walkways while others took part in special ?Dine and Unwind? packages, in which local hotels offered one-night stays, two tickets to the event and a complimentary one-hour Swedish massage at Ra Organic Spa.

Buffalo Wild Wings opens new location Buffalo Wild Wings is scheduled to open its newest location in Burbank on Sept. 21. The restaurant, which offers a variety of mild and spicy sauces, will feature big screens and high-definition televisions.   CTN-X opens Nov. 20 in Burbank The Creative Talent Network, a virtual community of professional artists from the animation gaming, film and video industries, has announced the launch of the first Creative Talent Network Animation Expo to be from Nov. 20 to 22 at the Burbank Marriott Convention Center.

It pays in hot wings to be steady customers of AMC Theatre, one couple learned Monday morning. Matthew Kelsey, 34, of Santa Clarita, and his girlfriend, Staci Miyagishima, 24, of North Hills, were first in line Sunday and camped out overnight in front of the new Buffalo Wild Wings location on the AMC Walkway in Downtown Burbank. The restaurant and sports bar, which was established in Ohio, is known for its Buffalo, N.Y.-style chicken wings and 14 sauces ranging from mild, sweet, to “Blazin.

Guests attending the Taste of Downtown Burbank on Thursday night will satiate their palates while providing financial assistance to those who can’t afford to join the YMCA. The annual event showcases more than 30 restaurants in Burbank offering samples from their menus. “The partnership with the city and local businesses has been tremendous,” said JC Holt, chief executive of the Burbank Community YMCA. “Everybody wins. The businesses get to display their wares, it’s a packed event, there’s entertainment and the YMCA benefits.
