A Burbank man on Thursday pleaded not guilty to burglarizing a parked car while pushing his 2-year-old son in a stroller. Frederic Strobel, 31, was pushing his son in a stroller at about 3:50 p.m. Tuesday along the 2600 block of Wyoming Avenue when he allegedly used a brick to smash the window to steal a global satellite positioning device and CDs. Police say Strobel continued to push his son in the stroller after the alleged burglary....

Two people from Los Angeles were arrested around 4:30 a.m. Saturday in the 1200 block of Kenwood Street in Burbank after burglarizing three cars, said Burbank Police Sgt. Doug Brown. They are Ismael Gallegos, 36, and Erika Torres, 20. The duo allegedly stole tools from the cars. Police are investigating a burglary in which cash and jewelry were stolen from a Burbank home on Friday. The incident marked the fifth daytime home burglary reported in Burbank in recent weeks. Sometime between 9 a.m. and noon, unknown suspects broke into a home in the 800 block of North Kenwood Street and stole an undetermined amount of cash and jewelry, said Burbank Police Lt. Eddie Ruiz. It's unknown how the suspects entered the residence, police said. The other four burglaries were reported in the 900 and 2600 blocks of North Brighton Street, the 1900 block of North Fairview Street and the 2100 block of North Buena Vista Street.

AREA 1 2500 block of North San Fernando Boulevard Zackary Isgar, 27, was arrested Feb. 8 on suspicion of receiving stolen property. 2700 block of Thornton Avenue Luis Castañeda, 39, was arrested Feb. 8 on an outstanding warrant for receiving stolen property and on suspicion of felony theft. AREA 2 2200 block of North 6th Street Timothy Joseph Boyle, 49, was arrested Feb. 8 on an outstanding warrant for possession of an opium pipe or other drug paraphernalia.

Thousands of prescriptions pills were stolen overnight Thursday from GlenOaks Pharmacy in Burbank, police said. Burglars broke a rear glass door sometime between Wednesday evening and early Thursday to gain access to the pharmacy in the 300 block of South Glenoaks Boulevard, according to Burbank Police Sgt. Darin Ryburn. The thieves got away with 3,700 prescription painkillers, he said. Police are asking for the victims in a residential burglary and street robbery to come forward now that two juveniles were arrested on suspicion of stolen property. On April 25, police arrested two juveniles for an alleged residential burglary that took place April 23 near Grismer Avenue that was not reported to police, Officer Joshua Kendrick said. Police recovered a gaming system, jewelry and cellular phones. Police also determined a street robbery occurred on Kenneth Road when a cellular phone was stolen on April 25, Kendrick said.

Thornton Avenue and North Hollywood Way A 57-year-old man was arrested June 18 on suspicion of being drunk in public and for three outstanding warrants for the same charge. 2300 block of North Hollywood Way A 38-year-old man was arrested June 18 on suspicion of petty theft from Fry's Electronics.

An unknown number of suspects remain at large in a residential burglary that happened Friday morning, police said. At around 11:30 a.m. a woman returned home to her residence in the 1000 block of Maple Street and found a man in her home, said Burbank Police Sgt. Darin Ryburn. She then fled to a neighbor's house and called police, who closed off streets in the area for over two hours and brought in a K-9 unit to search for suspects. The search, however, did not turn up any suspects, said Ryburn.

Amber Willard BURBANK -- Police are are looking into a rash of thefts from cars that occurred Monday night and Tuesday morning. Some of the four burglaries that occurred overnight may be related because of similar methods of entry, police said. "Crooks get into certain habits, like breaking a window a certain way," Lt. Bob Giles said. The first burglary was reported at 6:40 a.m. Tuesday in the Hillside District in the 1800 block of Ayers Way. A rear passenger window was smashed and golf clubs, worth $1,550, were taken from the trunk.

Jackson Bell A Lancaster man faces 27 burglary charges for allegedly breaking into cars downtown to steal about 37 computer laptops this year, police said. Buddy Douglas, 31, pleaded not guilty June 30 to 27 counts of burglary and receiving stolen property estimated at $75,000, authorities said. He is being held on $105,000 bail and is due back Thursday in Burbank Superior Court when a judge is expected to set a date for his preliminary hearing.
