A Burbank man on Thursday pleaded not guilty to burglarizing a parked car while pushing his 2-year-old son in a stroller. Frederic Strobel, 31, was pushing his son in a stroller at about 3:50 p.m. Tuesday along the 2600 block of Wyoming Avenue when he allegedly used a brick to smash the window to steal a global satellite positioning device and CDs. Police say Strobel continued to push his son in the stroller after the alleged burglary....

Two people from Los Angeles were arrested around 4:30 a.m. Saturday in the 1200 block of Kenwood Street in Burbank after burglarizing three cars, said Burbank Police Sgt. Doug Brown. They are Ismael Gallegos, 36, and Erika Torres, 20. The duo allegedly stole tools from the cars. Police are investigating a burglary in which cash and jewelry were stolen from a Burbank home on Friday. The incident marked the fifth daytime home burglary reported in Burbank in recent weeks. Sometime between 9 a.m. and noon, unknown suspects broke into a home in the 800 block of North Kenwood Street and stole an undetermined amount of cash and jewelry, said Burbank Police Lt. Eddie Ruiz. It's unknown how the suspects entered the residence, police said. The other four burglaries were reported in the 900 and 2600 blocks of North Brighton Street, the 1900 block of North Fairview Street and the 2100 block of North Buena Vista Street.

AREA 1 2500 block of North San Fernando Boulevard Zackary Isgar, 27, was arrested Feb. 8 on suspicion of receiving stolen property. 2700 block of Thornton Avenue Luis Castañeda, 39, was arrested Feb. 8 on an outstanding warrant for receiving stolen property and on suspicion of felony theft. AREA 2 2200 block of North 6th Street Timothy Joseph Boyle, 49, was arrested Feb. 8 on an outstanding warrant for possession of an opium pipe or other drug paraphernalia.

Burbank police were searching for three burglary suspects in the area of Irving, Joaquin, Brown and Bel Aire drives in Burbank late Tuesday morning, and warned residents in that area to stay indoors and for others to avoid the area for the next few hours. Police believe the three suspects - two men and one woman - are in the area, authorities said just after noon. Further details about the burglary were not immediately available. Thousands of prescriptions pills were stolen overnight Thursday from GlenOaks Pharmacy in Burbank, police said. Burglars broke a rear glass door sometime between Wednesday evening and early Thursday to gain access to the pharmacy in the 300 block of South Glenoaks Boulevard, according to Burbank Police Sgt. Darin Ryburn. The thieves got away with 3,700 prescription painkillers, he said. Two Pasadena men were arrested after officers reportedly found several stolen items, including GPS devices, iPhones, iPods and garage openers, in their car during a traffic stop in Burbank early Tuesday morning, police said. At 1:40 a.m., officers stopped the pair - Keith Anderson, 19, and Damon Allen, 21 - as they exited the Golden State (5) Freeway at Scott Road in a BMW, said Burbank Police Officer Joshua Kendrick. Upon approaching the vehicle, police smelled marijuana and subsequently searched the suspects and their vehicle.

Police are asking for the victims in a residential burglary and street robbery to come forward now that two juveniles were arrested on suspicion of stolen property. On April 25, police arrested two juveniles for an alleged residential burglary that took place April 23 near Grismer Avenue that was not reported to police, Officer Joshua Kendrick said. Police recovered a gaming system, jewelry and cellular phones. Police also determined a street robbery occurred on Kenneth Road when a cellular phone was stolen on April 25, Kendrick said.

An unknown number of suspects remain at large in a residential burglary that happened Friday morning, police said. At around 11:30 a.m. a woman returned home to her residence in the 1000 block of Maple Street and found a man in her home, said Burbank Police Sgt. Darin Ryburn. She then fled to a neighbor's house and called police, who closed off streets in the area for over two hours and brought in a K-9 unit to search for suspects. The search, however, did not turn up any suspects, said Ryburn.

Six vehicle burglaries, one of which included the theft of a handgun, were reported in Burbank Wednesday evening, and investigators say the incidents may be connected. Between 6:30 and 10 p.m., three cars were burglarized in three parking lots within a couple blocks of one another in downtown Burbank, said Burbank Police Sgt. Darin Ryburn. In two of them, the burglars smashed car windows to gain entry. Numerous electronics, including an iPad, laptop and cameras, were stolen, along with the handgun, which was in a backpack on the back seat of one of the cars, Ryburn said.

A man and woman who investigators say were tied to a string of 15 burglaries in Burbank in the last three weeks were arrested this week. Two antique shotguns were among the numerous items stolen from a Burbank home in one of two residential burglaries reported to police over the weekend . Sometime between 7:20 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday, a home in the 600 block of East Palm Avenue was ransacked and numerous items were stolen, said Burbank Police Sgt. Darin Ryburn. Sometime during the following night, unknown suspects entered a garage in the 1300 block of Lamer Street and took off with a set of golf clubs, Ryburn said.

Two men who ended up in the hospital after initiating a high-speed police chase on Christmas Day in Burbank have been charged with one count each of auto burglary and receiving stolen property, police said. One of the men, Javier Hernandez, is awaiting his arraignment - which will likely take place in 30 days - in Los Angeles County Jail, while the other, Anthony Garay, remained in the hospital due to a fractured leg as of Friday, according to Burbank Police Sgt. Darin Ryburn. Garay was given a citation for the felony charges while in the hospital, Ryburn said.

Police are investigating a residential burglary in Burbank where $3,000 worth of items were reportedly stolen on Monday. Between 9:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m., unidentified thieves broke into the house - located in the 1700 block of North Maple Street - through the rear door and stole a laptop, computer, DVD player and watch, said Burbank Police Sgt. Darin Ryburn. The suspects ransacked the home, leaving drawers opened, and the television was hanging off the wall mount, Ryburn added.

Police are investigating a burglary attempt in which a man tried to drill through a door lock at a Burbank residence on Monday afternoon, police said. At 1:15 p.m., the man - described as Hispanic, in his 50s and roughly 175 pounds - knocked on the door of a Burbank townhome in the 700 block of Olive Avenue, said Burbank Police Sgt. Darin Ryburn. He was reportedly wearing jeans and a polo shirt. Five minutes later, after receiving no response, the man knocked again. Shortly after, the resident inside the home heard a drilling sound coming from outside and ran upstairs to call the police, Ryburn said.

Two burglary suspects who police believe are “armed and dangerous” remain at large after a four-hour search that shut down part of Burbank's hillside area Tuesday, police said. Just before 9 a.m., police responded to the 900 block of Irving Drive regarding a burglary in progress, said Burbank Police Sgt. Darin Ryburn. A firearm was reportedly missing from a home, and two suspects - one of whom was described as a black man wearing jeans and possibly a hoodie - were at large, Ryburn said.

Two Pacoima teens were arrested Friday after allegedly stealing an iPod, purse, wallet and other items from three cars in Burbank, police said. At around 1:15 p.m., officers were called to the 100 block of South Glenoaks Boulevard after callers reported that two young males smashed the back window of a Volkswagen, grabbed the items inside and ran away, said Burbank Police Lt. Eddie Ruiz. Police located the suspects, who were 16 and 17 years old, after searching the area, Ruiz said.
