BURBANK — It’s been two years since Brittney Edwards was diagnosed with brain cancer at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center. Now, she’s giving back. The 20-year-old serves as a volunteer at the hospital, which this week announced a partnership with Childrens Hospital Los Angeles and Childrens Hospital Los Angeles Medical Group to treat young adults with cancer. “I think it will be very uplifting to be around other people the same age,” said Edwards, a student at Glendale Community College.
