Five Glendale Community College students of art instructor Caryl St. Ama have been accepted into CalArts, the fine arts school started by Walt Disney. They will start in the fall. The five are Byoung Jik Lee, an L.A. resident originally from Korea; Armen Mirzaian, a Hoover High grad and Glendale resident; Hugo Morales of Lynwood (a student of St. Ama's since 1997); Carl Raggio, a Glendale High grad and Glendale resident; and La Crescenta resident In-Young Sung, an Eagle Rock High grad.

RICCARDI - FELAGO Mikah F. Riccardi and Richard Felago were married at Founders Chapel at the University of San Diego. Father Robert Osborne officiated. The maid of honor was Ursula Riccardi. The bridesmaids were Angela Riccardi, Melanie Buck, Ann O'Dell, Jenell Iacono and Lisa Douglas. The best man was Michael Felago. The groomsmen were Tom Pilling, Joseph DiGuglielmo, Stephen DiGuglielmo, Ken Wolcott, Brandon Kreuger and Bernie Sloan. A reception followed aboard The Berkeley, a 100-year-old ferryboat at the San Diego Maritime Museum.

Brett E. Fishback, who recently graduated from basic and A.I.T. training at Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo., became the first soldier at Ft Leonard Wood to earn a selection to the 14th Military Police Brigade Hall of Fame. He has been assigned to the 95th Military Police Battalion Honor Guard in Heidelberg, Germany. He is a 1999 graduate of Hoover High School. Jason M. Ward, the son of Larry and Karen L. Ward of Glendale, has completed basic training at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego.
