CENTER’S CLIENTS ENTERTAIN WITH FAVORITES The holiday season kicked off with BCR “a play to grow’s” annual musical program, starring the children and adults in center’s daily programs. This year’s themes, “Holiday Harmony” and “Gifts,” highlighted traditional holiday stories, songs and the special gifts the clients of BCR give to others. The event was held Nov. 19 at the Holy Cross Hall at St. Francis Xavier Church in Burbank.

While this is the time of year that folks strive for peace on Earth, goodwill toward man, and the mixing and mingling with friends who are dear to them, this past Thursday evening saw members of the Burbank Chamber of Commerce and supporters of the Burbank Temporary Aid Center take a break from all that holiday harmony to spend an evening with acerbic columnist Will Rogers. Staged as a fundraiser with the evening’s proceeds going to the center, Rogers and his musical accompaniment, Bryan Miller, presented “Burbank Confidential” at the Colony Theatre.
