Fiona Williams NORTHWEST DISTRICT -- Dark Delicacies Bookstore is inviting residents to come out May 6 to meet three writers who have been trying to scare their readers silly. Richard Laymon, author of "The Stake," "One Rainy Night" and "Vampire Show," will be on hand to sign books, as will editor and writer J.F. Gonzalez, author of "Clickers" and contributor to the horror anthology "The Asylum." A third horror author, whose name cannot be released due to contractual reasons, will also be appear to sign his latest novel, organizers said.

TODAY Late registration continues today and ends Friday for the first of two five-week summer semesters at Glendale Community College, 1500 N. Verdugo Road. Classes are $11 per unit for California residents. The first semester began Tuesday. Registration for the second semester, which begins July 3, will be from Monday through July 7.
