Garen Yegparian, a veteran of seven boards and commissions, finally considers himself ready to serve on the council. “I felt like I had gotten the seasoning,” Yegparian said. “I am at the age where I move on something if I decide to do it.” Yegparian met with several city leaders last summer, most of whom encouraged him to toss his hat in the ring. By the primary, he had racked up several key endorsements, including one from friend Larry Applebaum, president of the Burbank Unified School District Board of Education.
