The following were taken from reports filed with the Burbank Police Department. AREA 1 2200 block of North Buena Vista Street At 9:20 p.m. Sept. 25 at Quality Inn Motel on North Buena Vista Street, officers found a woman loitering in the parking lot. After a search of her hotel room, officers discovered another woman, and both were arrested on suspicion of loitering with the intent to commit prostitution. Sarinnah Barton, 18, of North Dakota, and Briana Hilton, 20, of Ontario, were allegedly advertised on a website for the purpose of prostitution.

A lot of them don’t associate it with drugs and alcohol.

A 26-year-old woman was arrested at a Burbank hotel Sunday on suspicion of loitering with the intent to commit prostitution after Burbank police discovered condoms, cash and phones in her hotel room, police said. There was also a warrant for her arrest. Dani Jackson of Highland was arrested at the Quality Inn at 3:15 p.m. after Burbank police discovered she had paid for the hotel room with cash, said Burbank Police Sgt. Darin Ryburn. Police later ran her license plate, which revealed a $10,000 warrant for her arrest.

A transient with a history of run-ins with police was arrested Tuesday night after he allegedly threatened to kill the manager of a CVS Pharmacy in Burbank. The homeless man, Anjan Kumar Ray, allegedly made the threat as he was being handcuffed for loitering outside of the store about 6:45 p.m. in the 1800 block of Verdugo Avenue, Sgt. Darin Ryburn said. The manager had reportedly asked Ray to leave the store. He refused, and allegedly began yelling and pushing the manager.

Two women suspected of loitering with the intent to commit prostitution were arrested at a Burbank hotel Thursday night after officers reportedly discovered incriminating text messages, condoms and oils in their possession, police said. At 10:10 p.m., police noticed a 35-year-old Sacramento woman, Shaneese Day, sitting in a parked car outside the Ramada Inn, located on the 2900 block of San Fernando Boulevard, said Burbank Police Lt. Eddie Ruiz. Upon approaching Day, police smelled - and later recovered - a small amount of what appeared to be marijuana, according to police reports.

Tim Willert MEDIA DISTRICT NORTH -- A 15-year-old Burbank High School student was arrested on suspicion of intending to commit vandalism after police received a call the boy and a friend were loitering in the rear of an apartment complex near the school. The boy and his 14-year-old companion were stopped by Burbank police around noon Feb. 15 in the 1100 block of North San Fernando Road. They were arrested after their backpacks were searched, Sgt. John Dilibert said.

Those interested in getting a “behind-the-scenes” look at police operations in Burbank can apply for the nine-week community police academy. Offered in English, Spanish, Armenian and for the deaf, the course gives participants a peek into the day-to-day operations of the various bureaus in the department. The free academy will offer presentations on the criminal justice system, air-support unit, Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team, patrol and detective functions as well as animal control programs.

Police are investigating a series of vandalism incidents after three vehicles within three blocks were found Wednesday with slashed tires and etched with derogatory words, police said. In the 700 block of North Valley Street at 6:30 a.m., a 2014 Bentley was found with three flat tires, scratches and a derogatory word etched into the hood of the vehicle, said Burbank Police Sgt. Darin Ryburn. Later that morning, a 2014 Mercedes parked behind a business in the 4400 block of West Magnolia Boulevard was reportedly found with four slashed tires, a smashed front windshield and derogatory slurs etched into the vehicle.

Airport Marriott, 2500 block of North Hollywood Way James Lowry, 69, was arrested Jan. 26 on suspicion of being drunk in public. Extended Stay America Hotel, 2200 block of Empire Avenue Jasmen Jade White, 18, was arrested Jan. 26 on suspicion of loitering with the intent to commit prostitution.
