Two documentary shorts by Burbank High School graduate Leslie Iwerks will get an exclusive screening tonight at the Yoga Tree in Toluca Lake. Through her Leslie Iwerks Productions she has made such projects as “The Pixar Story,” and “The Hand Behind the Mouse: The Ub Iwerks Story,” which documents the life of her grandfather Ub Iwerks. He was a Disney animator and special-effects technician and developed theme park attractions. Leslie Iwerks’ 38-minute documentary titled “Recycled Life” is one of eight that made the short list of films for Best Documentary Short for an Oscar in 2007.
