Visionary animator Hayao Miyazaki is often referred to as the Walt Disney of Japan. He creates, almost single-handedly, idiosyncratic films enthused with the wonder of magic and fantasy such as the epic "Princess Mononoke," the Academy Award-winning "Spirited Away" and now "Howl's Moving Castle." Miyazaki's unique gift as a filmmaker is his ability to twist the fantastic into universal tales relatable by one and all. "Howl's Moving Castle" is set in a fantasy kingdom where the threat of witches and wizards abound.
