BURBANK — The Burbank High girls’ golf program came close to qualifying for the CIF Southern Section last season when it placed fourth in its first season in the Pacific League. Unfortunately, only the top three squads earned CIF spots. This season, the Bulldogs were determined to snag one of those three spots. In the league preliminaries Wednesday, Burbank did just that — and made history in the process. The team tied for second in the match at Brookside Golf Course No. 2 to capture third in the final standings.
