Two people from Los Angeles were arrested around 4:30 a.m. Saturday in the 1200 block of Kenwood Street in Burbank after burglarizing three cars, said Burbank Police Sgt. Doug Brown. They are Ismael Gallegos, 36, and Erika Torres, 20. The duo allegedly stole tools from the cars. AREA 1 2500 block of North San Fernando Boulevard Zackary Isgar, 27, was arrested Feb. 8 on suspicion of receiving stolen property. 2700 block of Thornton Avenue Luis Castañeda, 39, was arrested Feb. 8 on an outstanding warrant for receiving stolen property and on suspicion of felony theft. AREA 2 2200 block of North 6th Street Timothy Joseph Boyle, 49, was arrested Feb. 8 on an outstanding warrant for possession of an opium pipe or other drug paraphernalia.

East Cypress Avenue at North Glenoaks Boulevard A 49-year-old man was arrested April 16 on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. 2000 block of Peyton Avenue A 30-year-old man was arrested April 15 on suspicion of willfully making threats to commit a crime that would result in death or great bodily injury, willful disobedience of a court order and defacing property with graffiti.

North Third Street and Bethany Road A 50-year-old man was arrested June 17 on suspicion of robbery. Thornton Avenue and North Hollywood Way A 57-year-old man was arrested June 18 on suspicion of being drunk in public and for three outstanding warrants for the same charge. 2300 block of North Hollywood Way A 38-year-old man was arrested June 18 on suspicion of petty theft from Fry's Electronics.

A 19-year-old woman from Phoenix was arrested at a Burbank hotel Saturday on suspicion of prostitution, Burbank police said. After allegedly seeing a post online advertising her services, Burbank investigators found the woman, Lisa Geier, with a client in a room at the Extended Stay America hotel at 2200 Empire Ave., according to police. “These girls advertise pretty bluntly they're here in Burbank,” said Burbank Police Lt. Eddie Ruiz. Prostitution arrests can be common for cities with airports, he added.

The bassist of the heavy metal band Dio was arrested in Burbank Tuesday night on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs after crashing into another vehicle, police said. Bassist Jimmy Bain was making a left out of the Fry's Home Electronics store parking lot on to westbound Vanowen Street, near Hollywood Way, about 9 p.m. when he pulled his 1995 green Toyota Camry out in front another vehicle, causing the collision, Burbank Police Sgt. Darin Ryburn said. Police officers conducted a field sobriety test, but Bain “failed to satisfactorily pass it,” Ryburn added.

Two women suspected of loitering with the intent to commit prostitution were arrested at a Burbank hotel Thursday night after officers reportedly discovered incriminating text messages, condoms and oils in their possession, police said. At 10:10 p.m., police noticed a 35-year-old Sacramento woman, Shaneese Day, sitting in a parked car outside the Ramada Inn, located on the 2900 block of San Fernando Boulevard, said Burbank Police Lt. Eddie Ruiz. Upon approaching Day, police smelled - and later recovered - a small amount of what appeared to be marijuana, according to police reports.

A 36-year-old Los Angeles man who police say appeared to be high on methamphetamine was arrested Sunday on suspicion of identity theft and possession of Norco and Vicodin without a prescription. Officers approached the man, Richard Hathaway, just before 7 p.m. for smoking in front of Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in downtown Burbank, a violation of the city's municipal code, said Burbank Police Lt. Eddie Ruiz. According to police reports, Hathaway appeared nervous and admitted he had consumed methamphetamine earlier in the evening, Ruiz said.

Five teenagers allegedly found holding cans of spray paint on a Golden State (5) Freeway off-ramp were arrested Friday on suspicion of conspiracy to commit vandalism, police said. At around 11:45 p.m., patrol officers noticed a Chevy SUV stopped on the shoulder just south of the Scott Road off-ramp with its lights off, said Burbank Police Lt. Eddie Ruiz. Officers reportedly saw five suspects -- David Salinas, 18, of Pacoima, Alfonso Yeverino, 18, of Sun Valley, two 16-year-olds from Pacoima and a 17-year-old from Sylmar -- kneeling near a block wall holding the cans of spray paint.

Two Burbank men were arrested Wednesday on suspicion of grand theft auto before the alleged victim knew his Honda Accord had been stolen, police said Friday. Police stopped the pair - Alexander Radey, 20, and Marcelo Mena, 19 - at Cypress Avenue and Fifth Street at around 9:15 p.m. after they were reportedly driving erratically, said Burbank Police Sgt. Darin Ryburn. When the men pulled the car over, they jumped out of the car and fled on foot while the Accord rolled back and hit the patrol car, Ryburn said.
