BURBANK CENTENARIAN CELEBRATES 100 Maria Finance , a resident of Burbank for more than 30 years, celebrated her 100th birthday July 15 with members of her family and friends at the Castaway Restaurant. Four generations of the Finance family were present, including her son Charles Finance , a resident of North Hollywood; grandson Charles Finance , his wife, Lynda , and their daughter Hannah Finance, who flew in from Seattle for the occasion; granddaughter Shelley Spranza and her husband, John , who made the trip from Sacramento.

CITY CENTER — The 45-year-old man accused of raping an unconscious 24-year-old man in his Burbank apartment pleaded not guilty Monday to felony charges of sodomy and oral copulation of an unconscious individual and grand theft of personal property. Richard Scott Poland, of Burbank, remains in jail in lieu of $100,000 bail. A preliminary court hearing is scheduled for Oct. 27. Poland was arrested Thursday on the 200 block of East Magnolia Boulevard, four days after his tryst with a 24-year-old resident began at Sardo’s Grille and Lounge on North Pass Avenue, police said.

CITY CENTER — Police arrested a 45-year-old man suspected of raping an unconscious 24-year-old man this weekend in his Burbank apartment before fleeing with his laptop, police said. Richard Scott Poland, of Burbank, was arrested Thursday somewhere within the Burbank Town Center in the 200 block of East Magnolia Boulevard and booked on charges of sodomy and grand theft. Police also recovered the stolen computer, Burbank police Sgt. Robert Quesada said. Poland is being held at the Burbank Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail, Quesada said.

CITY CENTER — Police are searching for a white man in his 30s who allegedly raped an unconscious 24-year-old man this weekend in his Burbank apartment, authorities said. The men met about 6 p.m. Saturday at Sardo’s Grille and Lounge on North Pass Avenue before going to the alleged victim’s apartment on the 4300 block of Sarah Street, Burbank police Sgt. Robert Quesada said. The alleged victim told police he awoke Sunday morning feeling woozy. He then checked a message from a friend in Switzerland who had found an online video of the suspect performing sexual acts on him, Quesada said.
